Dr. Laura Clemenhagen


Dr. Laura Clemenhagen is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. After graduation, Dr. Clemenhagen moved to Vancouver, British Columbia and spent the next 6 years practicing in a multidisciplinary setting in downtown Vancouver. She has now been practicing in Collingwood for over two years and is very happy to call the South Georgian Bay area her home. Dr. Clemenhagen has experience treating people from all walks of life, including children, athletes, workers and women going through pregnancy and postpartum care. 

Dr. Clemenhagen's goal is to get you moving as quickly as possible. Her treatments are focused on the biomechanics related to the area of complaint with the aim to reduce restriction, improve mobility and restore function. She believes that getting you back to the activities you love and out of her office should be the primary goal!

Dr. Jennifer Corey

Naturopath, Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Acupuncturist

Dr. Jennifer Corey has been in practice for 18 years as a regulated healthcare provider and has recently moved to Collingwood. Dr. Corey is excited to join Synergy Health & Wellness Centre and continue her practice with a focus in pelvic health (pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, post-surgical healing, low back pain), preconception care, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care and pediatrics.

Dr. Corey supports parents through childhood illnesses with safe, effective, natural medicine so that children lead a healthy and happy life. She promotes healthy living for the entire family.

Christine MacKenzie

Registered Massage Therapist


Christine MacKenzie has been a resident of the Collingwood area since 1977. She became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2008 and is also certified in Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology, and Hot Stone Massage. Christine has been affiliated with Synergy Health and Wellness Centre since 2006. Christine has experience in all modalities of massage therapy, including sports injury care, pregnancy and therapeutic massage.

Nathaniel Porter-Gowan

Nathaniel Porter-Gowan has been a member of the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario for the past four years.  He brings various modalities to the Synergy team including facial release, deep tissue, relaxation and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques.

Alex Barton

Athletic Therapist


Alex Barton graduated from Sheridan college with a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy and is a member in good standing with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA) and the Ontario Athletic Therapy Association (OATA). She is an Emergency First Responder and recipient of a lifesaving commendation from St. John Ambulance. She has worked with a variety of different patients ranging from dedicated athletes, weekend warriors, and factory workers to your average Joe.

Liw Bringelson

Liw (short for "Liwana") Bringelson has been a Certified Craniosacral Therapist since 2013.  Based on her personal experience, and training, she provides craniosacral therapy (CST) as a tool to support your body toward balance and wellness. As the client, you are the expert in your own body, and Liw works as a catalyst to remove tension and blockages, and address lesions that are restricting movement and flow through your body.

In addition to being CST Therapist, she is also a Certified Equine Massage Therapist, and holds graduate degrees (Masters and PhD) in Industrial Engineering (Purdue University, 1991). Joanne Pineau

Yoga Therapist

Joanne Pineau is a  Certified Yoga Therapist of the Heart®Cardiac & Cancer Therapist and The Essential Low Back Program Certified Therapist

Since 1997 Joanne has helped hundreds of individuals improve and recover their health. She has extensive training in structural alignment, anatomy and pathophysiology of chronic pain, yoga for cardiac, cancer and debilitating diseases, the low back and stress reduction. A few years ago she researched and developed a very successful approach to help individuals with sciatic pain and published an illustrated manual available on Amazon that is now selling worldwide. Joanne is also the only Certified Yoga Therapist in Southern Georgian Bay trained to teach a clinically proven program for low back pain and she has an honors degree in biology.
